Our Genealogy Records

Hazekiah & Mabel SenftSociety members, as well as other individuals or families having roots within the Spring Grove “area” boundaries, are encouraged to share your family’s history and genealogy records with the Society.  Presently, we have a genealogy database containing more than 27,000 names.  In addition, there are an appreciable number of local cemetery inventories; i.e., a listing of most graves with information taken from the gravestones. Also available in our archives are notebooks filled with newspaper obituaries and memorial pamphlets dating as far back as 1933.  Additionally, there are sources of birth, baptism, and death records reaching beyond our area into much of York and Adams Counties.  And there are certain family histories, as well as a collection of pictorial directories from area churches.

Harold Deardorff will be glad to assist you in researching any information we might have regarding your ancestry.  Likewise, he will be happy to add your ancestral records or other materials of historical interest to our archives.
